RETHINK. REBUILD. REVIVE.

Shaping the future of the inventory together.

The most sustainable building is the one that has already been built—80% of the buildings of 2050 already exist today. It is not about building more, but about using what we have more efficiently. The key to a sustainable future lies in existing buildings. We need to rethink, redesign, and revitalize.

The neext Future Think Tank offers an exclusive meeting place for targeted networking and topic-based dialog. Experts and companies are guided and actively networked with each other in order to develop sustainable partnerships.

THE CONCEPT

The neext Future Think Tank has a clear goal: to provide impulses, find solutions, and strengthen networks. Each event is individually tailored to the host and combines expert knowledge with interactive dialog. The focus is on future-oriented topics, which are addressed in interactive formats such as auditorium debates, fishbowl discussions, workshops, and Walk & Talks.

We pay particular attention to the key topics of ReThink, ReBuild and ReVive - with the aim of developing innovative approaches and specific solutions for existing buildings.

How can we rethink existing structures in order to adapt them to the requirements of a sustainable future?

What innovative approaches or materials are needed to make the existing stock sustainable and fit for the future?

How can we revitalise existing buildings and quarters to create liveable, social and sustainable living spaces for the community?

Shaping the future along the ‘100 Meters of Innovation’

On 18 and 19 September 2024, Motorwerk Berlin opened its doors for the neext Future Summit, an event that focused on the exchange of ideas and collaboration. Around 900 participants from various industries came together to discuss innovative approaches to the challenges of the future.

The summit covered a wide range of topics: ‘Cross-border alliances’ emphasized the importance of international cooperation, while ‘Energy in transition’ provided exciting impulses for the energy transition. ‘Mobility of the future’ focused on the development of innovative mobility concepts. In addition,‘Future-proof construction’ addressed the question of how the construction industry can be made more resilient, while ‘Renaturation of the city’ showed how urban spaces can be reimagined with sustainable strategies.

With inspiring keynotes from top speakers, interactive workshops and haptic product presentations, the summit not only provided a platform for dialog, but also a stage on which visions for a sustainable and networked future became reality.
